All the 'Nitty Gritty' information on
how to prepare for your cosmetic tattoo

Due to the current legislation , I cannot legally supply anaesthetic to you without the correct forms being signed and returned to our collaborating pharmacey . This form will need to be finlled in and returned to myself to forward on before any procedures requiring anaesthetic can be perfomed Numbing for Pre is $25 a tube and yours to keep for perfecting touchup appointment . There is also during numb which aslo costs $25 a tube and is highly recommended for lip blush.

Medical grade aftercare is provided an included in your procedure cost .

You will not need to apply any numbing before your appointment as I will apply for you .

General Pre-care

Prepare any images of preferred shapes and styles .
Drink plenty of water and ensure the skin is hydrated and moisturised.

Medications & What to avoid
Please note: to ensure optimal results we must minimise any bleeding to ensure pigment is not prematurely expelled.

All precare is advice only, please consult medical professional prior to stopping any medication.

Refrain from using Accutane SIX MONTHS prior to any cosmetic tattooing procedure.
Refrain from using fish oil, antihistamine, glucosamine, evening primrose oil and ginger supplements ONE WEEK before appointment - these can thin the blood.
prior. FOUR WEEKS to be avoided Facial Treatments
Active skincare to be avoided TWO WEEKS prior and resumed after perfection visit while avoiding your new tattoo afterwards for longevity.
If you are booked in for a lip tattoo and have a history of cold sores please be prepared with preventative medication such as lysine, zinc, vitamin c and anti viral.
Hair Removal in all forms to be avoided at least ONE WEEK prior to appointment.
No Caffein or Alcohol to be consumed 24 HOURS prior to appointment.
Avoid exercise on the day of appointment.
Please be aware that you may be more sensitive during your mensural cycle .
Aftercare will be provided after appointment.

*Please note: It is a world health regulation that you are unable to donate blood for 12 months after a tattoo.

Immediately After

Your Tattoo will appear very dark/ bright - this is completely normal, please rest assured after 5/10 days it will settle down to a normal shade.

Two Weeks After

Most of the shedding phase would have passed leaving you with the shade of your tattoo.

Four-Six Weeks After

Your new tattoo has completely healed and time to come in for that perfection visit to ensure everything is perfect in shape, colour and any pigment loss can be replaced, this will be achieved by a repeat of your first appointment.

This depends on correct care with aftercare and daily consideration such as sun exposure, swimming in chlorine and active/exfoliating skin care as this will lighten pigment. Be mindful of sunscreens and avoiding the brow area with facial products. Ensure with any IPL treatments your therapist is aware you have a tattoo.

Your tattoo after healing would embrace nourishment such as brow serums and hydrating products.

Depending on certain factors but your touchup can be booked at the 1/3 year mark. Now you can enjoy those gorgeous brows!
